Mayfield Sports Complex are delighted to announce that we will be running a SportsDirect.com FAI Soccer School Camp this year.  The Camp will take place between 17th and 21st July and is open to 6-14 year old boys and girls of all abilities.

This is a great opportunity for your child to develop their football skills, whilst making friends and having fun in the process.

entry to our camp costs €65 per child.  We also offer a special sibling discount of €10 per child if one or more siblings join our camp.

An exclusive FAI Summer Soccer School kit, football, and backpack is provided for all children who enroll on our camp this year.

Only a limited number of places are available at our camp this year so we urge people to book as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Camps are open to boys & girls aged between 6 & 14 and run from 10.30am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday.

Rookie Lifeguard Summer Camp

Summer Rookie Camp Starts Week 1: Tuesday 1st August to 4th August  Week 2: 8th August to 11th August

Rookie Lifeguards is aimed at 8-12 year-olds to provide a fun and safe way to learn lifesaving skills and water safety from qualified and registered Rookie Lifeguard Trainers.

As a Rookie you will learn about water safety that will equip you with the skills which could help you save a life.

The Rookie programme is divided into 3 stages: Bronze, Silver and Gold, where Rookies can work towards achieving badges and certificates at each stage.

Candidates must be able to:

  • Swim 25 meters front crawlepp_pay_now_1
  • Swim on their back
  • Swim breast stroke
  • Tread water for 1 minute

If you are unsure that your child is suitable we can arrange a quick assessment of their swimming abilities.

 

 Teen Fitness Poster

Each course will consist of the following

  • Gym induction/ Health Screening/ fitness test
  • Safe introduction to strength and cardiovascular training
  • Corrective exercises and techniques to improve posture, core strength and flexibility
  • Individual focus on each teen so they can train specific to each of their respective fitness levels
  • Nutrition talks and education on how to build healthy eating habits
  • How to avoid fad diets and yoyo dieting from an early age
  • Building and encouraging physical activity with or without sporting interests
  • Methods on how to maintain a healthy weight
  • Fun activities such as aerobic classes, circuit classes, spinning classes and swimming (Swimming is optional)
  • Every aspect of this course is coordinated, instructed and supervised by qualified professionals
  • Suitable for Teenagers of all fitness levels from age 13 years to 16 years

What to Bring: All participants are required to wear appropriate training gear Eg: Tracksuits & runners  & to bring a towel & water bottle

What are the benefits of strength training for teens?

  • Increase strength, endurance and overall fitness levels
  • Help protect muscles and joints from sports-related injuries
  • Improve your child’s performance in nearly any sport, from hurling and football to Swimming and Rugby
  • Develop proper techniques that can be beneficial to learn from an early age to prevent injury in later years

Teen Gym

Fitness Training for Teenagers between ages of 13 and 17 years Male & Female

Get fit the Fun Way while learning new skills

Monday – Friday at 4.00pm – 6.00pm (last entry 5.30pm)

Saturday at 2.00pm – 4.00pm (last entry 3.30pm)

These sessions are operated under the guidance of qualified instructors to minimize the dangers associated with the misuse of equipment and ensure participants are using the correct techniques for each specific piece of equipment  

Teenager must be accompanied by a Parent on their first visit as a Parent consent form must be completed.
